Not everyone would see her this way obviously since different cats have different ideas. Brown sunlight. That's the first thing that came to mind when the young kitten opened her eyes. She blinked a few times, not yet aware that her blue eyes would die down to a faded viridian color. Her fur was soft, fuzzy even, and would stay that way for all of her life. There were darker brown stripes going through the lighter, almost golden brown fuzz, each standing out starkly in comparison. Was this really her? Was this pretty coat really hers? She blinked again and shook her head which was the same sort of coloration. There was no white on her except, as she soon discovered, on her tail-tip. Her claws, still sheathed inside her pads would be found later on as a sooty grayish black color. Sparrowpaw, as she was named much later in life, was lithe, with long limbs and tail. Her structure was that of a runner and hunter, which was a good thing really, even though from a young age all she wanted was to help her clanmates instead. PERSONALITY It's not to say that I go by BloodClan's rules, even I have a rebellious streak in me at times. However, I value some sort of system over chaos. Chaos is never good, and even a controlled clan is better than everyone trying to kill each other because there is no one to lead them. Freedom would be nice though....not that I have much as a medicine cat apprentice. I don't regret my decision. Kits of my own would be pleasant, a mate nice, but duty to my clanmates comes before that. In these times, isn't that all we have? Besides, I'm not one of those beautiful she-cats who was put in an arranged mating. I never was good enough for that. I am who I am...even if that is mediocre in comparison. I suppose some cats would cuff me on my ear for saying that, but I think it's true! Isn't that what matters too? That we believe what we think, even when others don't? BloodClan might take that as treachery even, so I keep it to myself like most of my thoughts. Maybe that's why I chose this life. After all, at least in this cage I can maybe advise them on what is best. Not many disregard the mentions of a Medicine cat, if only for their own life being in the balance. Still, there are always those who are too stubborn to care whether we say poppy seeds would ease pain or not. They get under my fur. My mentor tells me generally to forget them and focus more on my work. I tend to get overly paranoid about it you see, and that leads me to becoming somewhat forgetful of what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm not a crazy fox that tries to go running around a screaming insane things. I'm not someone who accepts things so easily either though. Constantly, I'm trying to think of how I can fix this...there has to be some way to get free of BloodClan's hold. The question is, how? HISTORY The only kit of Pineclaw and Willowfrost's first litter, Sparrowkit was from the start RiverClan through and through. As much as the arrogant Pineclaw might have said he was descended from BloodClan, he was not. Willowfrost was much more relaxed though and humble. Between the two is where Sparrowkit must have gotten her temperament. Life in the nursery wasn't all that bad really, that is until her father's cockiness got him in trouble. Foolishly, he tried pretending he was more important than be was, it got him clawed by two warriors from BloodClan. Sparrowkit could only watch in horror, Willowfrost in shame. That was what happened when you went against BloodClan's rules though. Sparrowkit vowed from that moment on to do something about this. She didnt know, how, but she would. Only a moon after her father's "teaching", Sparrowkit became Sparrowpaw and she sought out the Medicine Cat. She had already expressed a desire to be a healer. When the cat obliged to be her mentor, she was thrilled. Maybe now she would find a way to escape this place. Not alone though, she needed friends to help her. The question is who to trust with BloodClan all around her? [/style] |
