Though Cinderflare had never known such a thing, nor did his mother when she named him, the orange and cream Queen had heard stories. There reason the ginger tom wasn't named something like Flamekit though, was because at the time there was already an older tom that had that name. Cinderflare's mother was more creative than that anyway. She saw his sleek pelt, a fiery red and garnet color, and saw the dots of silvery ash that were there as well. So, Cinderkit it was. His body, like his coat, is slender and lithe, with a long tail and willowy legs. His head is angular and small, his ears are larger and coned shape. If he were a kitty pet, he may have known that this mostly came from Absynnian genes. However, he's a clanner, and he knows only color and strength. His voice is gruff, a bit raspy but not in an unhealthy sort of way. inf act, it's rough in a more masculine way, and raises easily enough when he needs to speak. PERSONALITY From a young age I was always rebellious. I wanted to be the strongest in my litter, the fastest, the most skilled. I ran away from the nursery often, and hissed at even the pure BloodClan kits that slept beside me. I promised myself that I would prove that despite my half-clan blood, I would show them I was still loyal. That's not to say that I detest my half-clan heritage. No, never. After, all, my mother is of that clan really...so wouldn't I be a full-clan cat then? Still, my father, my real father, when I met him before they killed him after finding out, he told me not to be ashamed of what I was. He told me to fight always for what I loved and found to be right. I doubt he meant for me to fall in love with BloodClan. They make me strong, and they make me something that is not looked down upon. If I mention a father, I mention the tom that my mother was supposed to be loyal too. I try to forget the other cat that I look more like. The one that shares my warrior name 'flare. I wonder if they named me that as a jest. Or perhaps it is to put glory on that name again. Either way it is the second htat I will be doing. Now, always. HISTORY I was born to my ThunderClan mother, a she-cat betrothed to a BloodClan cat in ShadowClan. However, I was not of his blood too. She had fallen for a tom back home, and had still sought him out even after she had been forced to leave. She was stupid to do something like that, but I was the proof of it. My Black furred father in ShadowClan was not seen in me. He had blue eyes, and I had golden amber ones. He had black fur, I had flame colored silk. Some at first said I took after my mother who had pale yellow eyes and creamy orange fur. Others remembered the friend she had though, a red tom with the same color eyes as myself. His name was Scarletflare. When I was an apprentice, only 7 moons old, some ThunderClan cats that were loyal to Blood lan overheard my father confessing to the Medicine Cat what he had done. They told my real father, and took Scarletflare in. He was killed in the middle of ShadowClan the next day to prove what happened when they defied BloodClan law. I watched not with horror but with pride. That was justice! After that, I made myself work hard to live up to my BloodClan father's name, Frost. I hoped that maybe my warrior name might include something similar to his name. That was a big honor you see for any tom, even the she-cats that had BloodClan mothers liked to have something like their parent's name in their warrior ceremony. When I graduated though, best of the apprentices for that season too, I received Cinderflare as my name. Flare! I bit back my hurt pride and stalked away after that. How could they mock me so? I swore a new promise that day. I would bring honor to this name, I'd be the best warrior BloodClan had ever seen. [/style] |
